We advised MAAG in relation to internal restructuring

We advised MAAG group entities on a large-scale restructuring process involving intra-group structural changes.

AS MAAG Grupp is a company founded in 1996 based on Estonian capital, which has grown into a group of companies involved in the production and sale of food products (meats and dairy). MAAG group combines well-known food brands in Estonia such as Rakvere, Rannarootsi, Tallegg, Rannamõisa, Tere and Farmi.

KPMG Law advised the companies of the MAAG group in connection with the intra-group restructuring, which was implied by the acquisition of HK Scan's businesses in the Baltics, and as a result of which the business activities of meat production in the Baltics were consolidated under a joint holding company. In addition to KPMG Law lawyers, financial and tax advisors from KPMG Baltics were involved in the project.

Before starting our co-operation, we had our fears and doubts that Big4 firm offering legal services under one-stop-shop slogan could mean mediocre service level but these fears have turned out to be baseless and we have had no reason to regret trusting KPMG Law firm. If any regrets then only the fact that their talented consultants don’t work in our own organisation. Our co-operation is currently running smoothly and since our first joint engagement, Sandra´s phone number has become a new 112 for me.
