Who turn to us
Our team has advised some of the largest and most complicated GDPR compliance engagements in the region. Our team member Kärt Salumaa’s prior experience includes participating in the development of the legislative framework for implementing GDPR into Estonian law as representing Estonia in the field of data protection in the European Council working groups as well as the European Commission expert groups.
Data protection is one of our key areas of expertise. Unlike traditional law firms, we handle General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance engagements with a holistic view forming multidisciplinary teams with not only legal but also IT and governance experts. We take a risk based approach in ranking the deficiencies we identify in our clients data protection practices compared to the GDPR, as well as developing roadmaps to overcoming these deficiencies.
We help our clients achieve GDPR compliance and provide full support, including advice and assistance in training employees, amending internal and external guidelines, processes, information systems, agreements and other documentation, carrying out data protection impact assessments, offering data protection officer services, etc.
We regularly advise member firm clients in matters relating to intellectual property as well as on media and technology law, including technology-related transactions and restructuring of IP portfolios. Together with our clients, our experts develop focused approaches and strategies for entries into new markets, for expansion of activities in existing markets, and for exploitation of new distribution channels such as e-commerce.
